Life is too short to live standing still. The world is moving, and we must all move to be, do, and experience it.
While standing at a railway crossing on my way to prayer-walk at the local Hindu shrine, a commuter train crossed in front of me. At the front of the train was the First Class section. Most of the cars said “Second Class,” and they were full of people standing, sitting, and holding on. Last came the “luggage class.” They didn’t have enough money for First Class status, and they don’t qualify for Second Class. They are left to be “luggage class.” “Luggage” isn’t a class. They don’t qualify to even be counted as a person. They are an object; or are they? They have a name. They have a story. They have a soul. They matter.
